Compulsory Cover Song Licensing only. Does not apply to Custom Licensing and non-compulsory cover song requests. Royalty rates for downloads and physical releases are slightly higher for songs over five minutes. Learn more about how royalty rates are determined. If the total quantity licensed (of the same format) exceeds 1,500 units, an additional surcharge will apply. Add $0.014 per unit over 1,500, min. $25. This covers additional liability and reporting to the copyright owners.
